Simon Du Plessis, owner of the internet based Actionimage photo agency, is an award-winning photographer operating from Centurion, professionally active mostly in the fields of sports photography, wildlife and birding.
All genres are however practiced by this versatile photographer.
He started using Sigma lenses in 1995 and has never stopped, known to be a huge proponent of the 120-300 f2.8 series, having owned the first generation, and lately using the Sigma 120-300 f 2.8 Sport amongst others.
He is an accredited media photographer through various governing bodies such as CSA (Cricket South Africa) SA Rugby and the Blue Bulls Company.
He has also held accreditation for the FIA and FIM and MSA.
He regularly presents workshops on Basic Photographic Techniques, Wildlife and Nature Photography, Macro Photography and Advanced Sport and Action Photography.
He was published lately in the October-December 2019 issue of Classic Imaging as a profiled professional sports photographer. His sports images are used continuously for editorial content in newspapers and magazines for the past 20 years.
